Kerala Varma Kunjappan Thampuran was a multi talented person. He had a passion for painting and after his pre degree schooling in Maharaja's college, Ernakulam he joined JJ School of Arts, Mumbai.

He discontinued after a year, came to Bangalore and graduated in Electrical Engineering From BMS College. He was a hands on Engineer and even built a music stereo system from scratch. His career has been briefly described in Home page.

Thampuran showed his Architectural skills in the homes he designed.

 

His wife, Geetha Varma was spritually inclined from childhood and her parents(mother Pankajam Varasiyar and father P.V.Rama Varier, founder Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, Coimbatore) home was graced by many Swami's and Holy men. She was an ardent devotee of Swami Chinmayananda(Gurudev). In her 20's she actively participated and volunteered in Gita Gyana Yagnas of Gurudev in Bangalore.

Soon the magnetism of Gurudev and the subject matter of Hindu scriptures pulled Thampuran into Sanatana Dharma and Shastras. His contribution and Seva to Chinmaya Mission has been mentioned here.

In 2008 he completed Indian Integrative Management.

Thampuran took classes for school teachers of Divyam academy on Indian culture, heritage and values. He was disappointed with the school syllabus of that time and he came up with a broad outline of a subject, Dharmic Education for classes 1 to 10.
