This is a website dedicated to Kerala Varma Kunjappan Thampuran(1935-2009), his published books and interests.

 KVK Thampuran was born to Smt Chandrika Thampuran who hailed from the Cochin royal family and Melpazhur Sri Subramanian Namboothiri, a Samskrit scholar. Thampuran did his electrical engineering from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore. After graduation, he worked in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Ltd, as a design engineer in the R&D team in the production of the fighter aircraft HF24.

In 1968 he joined the R&D team at Bharat Electrics Limited (BEL) developing and manufacturing defence and civil electronic equipments.

In the 1970s he was deeply influenced by Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji. As an active member of Chinmaya Mission, he became the secretary of the Mission. He was instrumental in starting the popular youth movement called 'Chinmaya Yuva Kendra" in 1974. He was the Director of Chinmaya Vigyana Mandir, Bangalore. With the blessings of Gurudev, he wrote four books from 1974 to 1982, which are compilation of Swamiji's published works and talks.

He was Director, Chinmaya Institute of Management, Bangalore with the aim of developing India's own Management system, by integrating the Hindu principles and philosophy to Management practices.

He was a member of advisory council of Divyam Academy of Values run by Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, Coimbatore Ltd.

In 2008, he completed the manuscript of his farsighted project Indian Integrative Management, the seeds of which were sown in 1980's. This took many years and was completed after being subject to his own intense critical scrutiny and satisfaction,

Indian Integrative Management was published and released by Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswathi Swamiji in 2011. In the foreword, Pujya Swamiji writes "It is important to examine the integration of the concept of Dharma in Management practices and policy, which has been undertaken in this important and interesting work."
